The Veterinarians CARE (Companion Animals Remembered) Program provides veterinarians a unique way to commemorate their clients’ animals after they have passed away. By making a memorial gift to Cummings School in honor of your clients’ pets, you will offer an expression of sympathy that truly demonstrates your commitment to your clients, their pets—and the advancement of veterinary research, education, and care.
Cummings School invites you to join the many veterinary hospitals and clinics nationwide that already contribute through the Veterinarians CARE Program.
Enhancing Client Relations
Many clients write back to us with the warmest of compliments for their veterinarians. They take comfort in knowing that a gift in their pet's name will help Cummings School fulfill our mission of healing animals, helping humans, transforming global health, and investing in future generations of veterinary students.
Upon receipt of your donation, Tufts will mail a personalized letter to your client, telling him or her of your generosity. This letter will acknowledge that Cummings School has received a charitable gift from you, given in memory of your client’s pet.
The Veterinarians CARE Program does not solicit your clients or enter their names into the Tufts database, unless they independently give to Cummings School or seek hospital services for their pets at Tufts.
How to Participate
We ask that clinics and practices wishing to participate in the Veterinarians CARE Program complete our registration form online at vet.tufts.edu/care. Registration is a one-time process for each clinic or practice.
Complete the Client and Pet Information Form
Once your clinic or practice has registered, complete the online form detailing each client and pet to be remembered.
Make a Memorial Donation
After you have submitted a client and pet information form, you will receive a confirmation e-mail asking you to make a donation. The Veterinarians CARE Program kindly requests a minimum donation of $10 per memorial.
Message from the President
I am both honored and excited to serve as the next TUVAA President. 2018 marks our alma mater's 40th anniversary and if you have not yet seen the impressive renovations of the Henry and Lois Foster Hospital for Small Animals and the new Equine Sports Medicine Complex then it’s time for a road trip!
